When answering a fill-in-the-blank question:
- Read carefully.
- Think of the subjects you studied in the course.
- Fill-in-the-blank tests tend to test for recall of terms and concepts, so list all the things you think of that might be correct on the side of the page and choose from those options.
- Make sure the sentence makes sense with the word you've selected -- check grammar (e.g. subject/verb agreement).
